The Little Rock Departmental Club has once again provided funding to the College of Nursing for the purchase of nursing pins that are presented to all of our BSN graduates. The pins are worn by nurses throughout their careers and serve as a sort of “badge of honor” for the compassion, wisdom and integrity of nurses. Shown here are (L to R) Ethel Curry, president of the Little Rock Departmental Club, and Dr. Jean McSweeney, Interim Dean of the UAMS College of Nursing. The BSN pins will be presented to graduates at the College’s graduation ceremonies on Thursday, May 14, at the First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock. The Little Rock Departmental Club was instrumental in the establishment of the UAMS College of Nursing 60-plus years ago.
