Nursing Education

This program introduces graduate nursing students to the educator role through theory-based instruction and practicum experiences.

What you learn

Students examine the following key elements of education: teaching-learning theory, learner characteristics, course and curriculum development/implementation, outcomes evaluation, and development of the educator role. Students have the opportunity to see and implement the role through practicum experiences with nurse educators in a variety of settings.

The program is limited to 12 hours of course work; therefore, co-acceptance in one of the advanced nursing practice specialties is required.
