Associate Professor, BSN Program, Little Rock campus

Department: CON | Baccalaureate Education

Summary of Job Duties:

This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position with non-tenure or tenure-track options. The candidate will assume teaching responsibilities within the undergraduate programs and engage in the College of Nursing’s scholarship and service missions.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or higher nursing degree with nursing experience.
  • Current unencumbered RN or advanced practice nursing license, with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas
  • Adult medical/surgical nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree PLUS three (3) years of teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing program

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality instruction in the Undergraduate BSN program.
  • Utilize innovative teaching strategies, including simulation and concept-based learning.

Assistant Professor, Nursing Science Research Program, Little Rock campus

Summary of Job Duties:

We are seeking faculty applicants eligible for appointment at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor who have at least 50% FTE on extramurally funded research. This is a 12-month, full-time, tenure-track optional faculty position with an academic appointment in the Nursing Science/Practice Department.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in nursing or a related field.
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • An active extramurally funded research program with at least 50% FTE coverage, a robust publications record, and presentations at scientific conferences are required.
  • An innovative thought leader with teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level.
  • Demonstrate a scholarly focus in obesity, nutrition/physical activity, geriatrics/gerontology, cancer survivorship, quality of life, social determinants of health, sexual health, mental health, cardiovascular health, or health promotion/disease prevention across the life cycle.

The College of Nursing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Professor to join our team. The successful candidate will assume teaching responsibilities within the nursing program, providing high-quality education to students while also contributing to the scholarship and service missions of the College. Qualifications:

  • Doctorally prepared (Ph.D., DNP, DNAP, EdD) in nursing.
  • Current certification or recertification by the NBCRNA
  • Unencumbered RN and APRN license with eligibility for RN and APRN licensure in Arkansas
  • Three (3) years of clinical experience as a practicing CRNA
  • Teaching experience at the graduate level with ability to teach in all aspects of anesthesia management, preferred.
  • Demonstration of scholarship related activities (published manuscripts, abstracts at conferences, grant funding), preferred.
  • Eligibility to practice within the College’s faculty practice plan
  • Regional & ultrasound experience, preferred.

Research Professor

Summary of Job Duties

This is a tenure-track, 12-month, full-time faculty position. The candidate will assume teaching responsibilities within the graduate programs, pursue a program of funded research, and collaborate with the Associate Dean for Research to build research capacity in the focus area.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s and doctoral degree in nursing with a focus on geriatrics/gerontology, oncology, or women’s cardiovascular health, required.
  • Current unencumbered RN or advanced practice nursing license with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas.
  • Teaching experience in a nursing program. Graduate level teaching experience, preferred.

NURSING STAFF

Research project manager position

The Project Manager will work with the team and provide direct support on all project activities. The person in this position will be responsible for management and coordination of post-award duties such as project implementation, project reporting and regulatory compliance. The position will provide post-award grants management support for internal and external funding mechanisms including support for budget management and some data collection duties. Strong writing, reading, analytic and communication skills required, as well as excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience building and/or managing databases in REDCap, Excel, and/or other data management systems is highly desirable. Additional responsibilities include assisting the PI with developing and monitoring the budget and disseminating project reports.
