DNP Nurse Anesthesia Faculty
This is a 12-month, full- or part-time faculty position. The candidate will assume teaching responsibilities within the DNP CRNA program while also engaging in the scholarship and service mission of the College of Nursing.
Qualifications:
- Doctorally prepared (Ph.D., DNP, DNAP, EdD) in nursing
- Current certification or recertification by the NBCRNA
- Unencumbered RN and APRN license with eligibility for RN and APRN licensure in Arkansas
- Three (3) years of clinical experience as a practicing CRNA
- Teaching experience at the graduate level with ability to teach in all aspects of anesthesia management, preferred

Clinic Instructor – Practice AGACNP-BC
This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position. The candidate will assume teaching responsibilities within the DNP and MNSc programs while also engaging in the scholarship and service mission of the College of Nursing.
Qualifications:
- Terminal degree (DNP or Ph.D.) in nursing, is required.
- Unencumbered license as a certified registered nurse with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas; APRN licensure, current national certification as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC), and current prescriptive authority.
- One (1) year APRN practice experience with expertise in the management of adults across the lifespan in a hospital or specialty clinical setting.
- One (1) year teaching experience at the graduate level, is preferred.
- Two years serving as a preceptor for APRN students.
- Demonstration of scholarship related activities (published manuscripts, presentation of abstracts and/or posters at conferences, grant funding), preferred.

Nursing Science Research Faculty
Nursing Science Faculty: Department Chair
We are looking for faculty applicants eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor that will also serve in the role of Chair of the Nursing Science Department. The position is a tenure-track, 12-month, full-time faculty position with an academic appointment in the Nursing Science Department. The Department Chair is responsible for providing visionary leadership as well as future-oriented thinking regarding the fulfillment of duties related to faculty development and the mission within the department. In addition to the normal expectations of a non-administrative faculty position, there is a rather long list of duties that could be consolidated.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following professional qualifications and personal characteristics:
- Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in nursing or a related field. A master’s degree in nursing is also required if the doctoral degree is not in nursing.
- Must hold an unencumbered RN or advanced practice nursing license with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas.
- Must also be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, a history of extramurally funded research, a robust publications record, and presentations at scientific conferences are desired.
- Evidence of excellent teaching and student mentoring, especially in a PhD program.
- Strong administrative skills, including strategic planning, personnel management, and action-oriented problem solving are desired.
- Must meet the associate or full professor rank with a history of progressive academic leadership positions (i.e., Council/committee chair, program director, professional society leadership role, etc.).
- An innovative thought leader with teaching experience in a graduate-level nursing program.
- Evidence of ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a scholarly focus in obesity, nutrition/physical activity, geriatrics/gerontology, cancer survivorship, quality of life, social determinants of health, sexual health, or health promotion/disease prevention across the life cycle.
- A cross-cutting focus on rural health and health disparities is strongly preferred.
