Aug. 31, 2017 | Advanced practice nurses from across the state were at UAMS in August receiving an update on standards of practice.
The 11th annual APRN State Conference, a free, day-long event, was held in the Fred W. Smith Auditorium on the 12th floor of the UAMS Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute. Seventy-one nurse practitioners attended.
The symposium, hosted by the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System and the UAMS College of Nursing, offered discussion on a host of topics including wound care, sleep disorders, x-ray interpretation and herbal therapy.
