The 19th annual Scholarship Donor Dinner, held on Monday, November 2, brought scholarship donors and student recipients together, and gave those students the opportunity to stay “Thank You”. Due to the generous support from scholarship donors, it is possible for many students to achieve their dream of becoming nurses. The students who spoke, captured the thanks and appreciation that was so wide spread throughout the room.
During the Scholarship Donor Dinner, Dr. Jean McSweeney presented the Dean’s Award to Mr. Jon Huntsman. In his absence, College of Nursing alumna and former faculty member, Debra Dorsa Carman, accepted the award on his behalf. Mr. Huntsman has donated more than $306,000 to the College over the years, and have helped over 250 students attend nursing school.
