I chose UAMS college of nursing because employers trust their reputation. I think that the exceptional leadership and representation UAMS faculty show in professional organizations and the Arkansas legislature made UAMS CON stand out for me; I feel like the faculty support Arkansas nurses on levels beyond academics. I also wanted to be a part of the college credited with the significant research findings on unique heart attack signs in women.

Dr. Jyrissa Robinson, UAMS College of Nursing BSN to DNP Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Program Graduate
I chose UAMS because of its prestigious background in education, technology, and patient experience. It’s impossible for me to tell you everything I have learned without being overwhelming. So, to keep it simple I learned that medically treating a patient is half the battle. As a future provider, understanding the culture, spirituality, and social determinants of our patient population is the key to revolutionizing healthcare’s war. My main goal is to be a part of evolution by equipping society with the care, education, and resources necessary for a VICTORY against the disease! The highlight of the program is that the UAMS faculty believes in the MOVEMENT and prepares you for what is to come. I am so grateful for the gift of knowledge UAMS has bestowed upon me.
