There are seven possible nurse practitioner tracks in which students can enroll:
- Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
- Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
- Acute / Primary Care Dual Certification Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Both a three-year and four-year plan of study are available. This sample plan of study is based on three years to completion. The first four semesters are the same for each of the nurse practitioner tracks.
Beginning in the fifth semester, students enroll in their specialty-focused nurse practitioner theory and practicums. The specialty courses are referred to as Specialty Theory and Specialty Practicum (I, II, III) for placeholding purposes within the sample plan of study. The specific names of the nurse practitioner specialty courses are listed at the bottom of the plan of study.
