This program is available for all current Nurse Practitioner and Nursing Education specialties offered by the UAMS College of Nursing, on a space-available basis.
To be accepted into this program, the applicant must provide an official transcript reflecting a master’s or DNP degree in nursing from a CCNE- or NLNAC-accredited institution and a current copy of an Arkansas RN License.
An individual interview and essay may also be a part of the admissions process.
Applicants who are non-degree-seeking students may take classes on a space-available basis with no guarantee that the course will apply to a degree at a later time. If post-graduate certificate program applicants are lacking core or foundational courses, they will be required to take these courses in addition to post-graduate specialty courses. A gap analysis will be completed to identify appropriate coursework.
Applicants must complete the MNSc application and indicate on the Supplemental Question section that they are seeking admission to the post-graduate certificate program.
