Acceptance into the program occurs as completed applications are submitted and reviewed, and as interviews are held. See Admissions Requirements for more information.
Post BSN to Ph.D.
The applicant with a BSN will need to meet all the admission requirements for the Ph.D. program.
Post Master’s to Ph.D.
The applicant must hold a master’s degree in nursing from an NLNAC or CCNE accredited program and show documentation of a minimum GPA of 3.65 in all coursework for the master’s degree.
Applicants desiring admission with only a master’s degree in another field will be considered. If admitted, these students will be required to complete selected prerequisite coursework in nursing.
DNP to Ph.D.
If you are a DNP seeking a Ph.D., please schedule an appointment to meet with Dr. Martha Rojo at morojo@uams.edu. Transcripts will be reviewed individually.
