MNSc Nurse Practitioner Tracks

UPDATED 2025-09-22

The UAMS College of Nursing is currently accepting applicants to all of the nurse practitioner specialties (including Nurse-Midwifery) and the Nurse Administration tracks of the MNSc program. Plans of study can be taken full-time or part-time, except for Nurse-Midwifery, which is full-time for the first year and part-time thereafter. For the Nurse Administration track, a sample part-time plan of study is shown below. Note that courses may be offered in different semesters depending upon cohort size.

Post-master’s nurse practitioners desiring a second nurse practitioner specialty certification may apply to our certificate or Doctor of Nursing programs. Student currently enrolled in the master’s program may have increased clinical hours and credits due to changes in the AACN Essential and NONPF criteria.
