This program is designed to create innovative nursing administrators and leaders. Nursing Administration students will be prepared to effectively and efficiently fill middle to top level leadership roles in the administration of health care delivery systems. The Nursing Administration graduate will be skilled in communication, conflict resolution, personnel development, team building, employee management, critical situation analysis, financial management, nursing informatics, and risk management.
What you learn
Students will participate in an advanced practicum where they will work 17+ hours per week with top level nurse executives at major health institutions. Students will also experience a full range of administration, management, and leadership duties. Students may also complete the Nursing Education program of study with the addition of two more courses. Graduates of the program will be prepared didactically to sit for top level nursing administration certification.
