The UAMS College of Nursing offers three options in the Master of Nursing Science program:
MNSc Program
The MNSc program prepares nurses for advanced nursing practice in a specialized field which includes Nursing Administration, Case Management, and Nursing Education.
Post-Graduate Certificate
The Post-Graduate Certificate program allows students who have already earned a master’s or DNP degree in nursing to complete the requirements to sit for an additional certification exam in another field.
Transition Programs
Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Transition Program
Applicants to the AGAC Transition Program must have previously or currently be certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in order to meet eligibility for the AGAC Transition program. Upon completion of the AGAC transition curriculum, students will be eligible to sit for the new certification exam – Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. This is a non-degree seeking program.
Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Transition Program
Applicants to the AGPC Transition Program must have previously or currently be certified as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner in order to meet eligibility for the AGPC Transition program. Upon completion of the AGPC transition curriculum, students will be eligible to sit for the new certification exam – Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. This is a non-degree seeking program.
Non-Degree Seeking
With the exception of the AGAC Transition Program and the AGPC Transition Program, the College of Nursing is not accepting non-degree seeking applications at this time.
