Health Assessment

For RNs planning to enroll in the UAMS RN-BSN with Graduate Courses substitutions, there are two options to meet the prerequisite Health Assessment requirement for entry:

  • Order an official transcript be sent to UAMS College of Nursing showing a health assessment course for three (3) credit hours has been taken at an accredited college or university.

OR

  • The RN Health Assessment Course is accredited for 44 hours of Continuing Nursing Education*. It is completely online allowing the learner to take it on their own time.  To access the course click the button below.

    ***In support of improving patient care, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the health care team.

    The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 44.0 ANCC contact hours. Nursing contact hours will be awarded for successful completion of program components based upon documented attendance and completion of evaluation materials.
