RN to BSN Program Information

The College of Nursing provides registered nurses (RN) who have a diploma or associate degree in nursing an opportunity to broaden their education through flexible, online programs. This program consists of 26 nursing credit hours and 58 prerequisite hours.  This program is for those who are currently RNs with an unencumbered license.

There are two tracks for the RN to BSN program:

  • Accelerated RN to BSN
  • RN to BSN/MNSc

ACCELERATED RN to BSN

ADVANTAGES

  • Completely online
  • 7 ½ week courses
  • 12-18 month completion (12 months for the Accelerated RN to BSN program)
  • Students may be able to complete up to 21 hours of specific prerequisite courses after being admitted to the program
  • Completely online
  • Project-based capstone at end of program

RN to BSN/MNSc

ADVANTAGES

  • Completely online
  • 7 ½ week courses
  • 18 month completion for BSN degree
  • Students may be able to complete up to 21 hours of specific prerequisites after being admitted to the program
  • Project-based capstone at end of program
  • Master’s courses available for students with a GPA greater than 2.85
  • May apply in their final semester to a master’s specialty
