Transition to AGPC Nurse Practitioner Program

Post Master’s Non-degree Seeking Program

Applicants must have previously or currently be certified as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner in order to meet eligibility for the AGPC Transition program. Upon completion of the AGPC transition curriculum, students will be eligible to sit for the new certification exam – Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. This is a non-degree seeking program.

  • Currently or previously certified as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner
  • Unencumbered Arkansas RN and APRN licenses
  • Up-to-date Criminal Background check
  • Complete one 3 hour credit theory course
  • Complete one variable credit clinical course (90 hours)
  • Complete both courses in one semester
  • Eligibility to take for certification exam upon completion

April 1 for fall admission
October 1 for spring admission
