Education Faculty Position

This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position with the option for non-tenure or tenure-track. The candidate will assume teaching responsibilities within the undergraduate and graduate programs and engage in the scholarship and service missions of the College of Nursing.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or higher nursing degree required. Doctoral degree preferred.
  • Current unencumbered RN or advanced practice nursing license with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas.
  • Three (3) years minimum teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing program, preferred.
  • Recent ICU/Trauma experience, preferred.

Accelerated BSN Faculty Position

This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position with the option for non-tenure or tenure-track. The candidate will assume teaching responsibilities primarily within the concept-based Accelerated BSN program and engage in the scholarship and service missions of the College of Nursing.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or higher nursing degree required. Doctoral degree, preferred.
  • Current unencumbered RN or advanced practice nursing license with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas.
  • Two (2) years minimum teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing program, preferred.

Nursing Graduate Faculty

MNSc and DNP Contract Faculty

This is a temporary, contract faculty position without benefits. The candidate will assume clinical oversight of students in the nurse practitioner specialties or teach advanced health assessment practicum.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or doctoral degree in nursing
  • Unencumbered Arkansas RN; APRN licensure; and current certification in a specialty

  • Unencumbered license as a certified registered nurse with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas; APRN licensure, current certification in PMH specialty, and prescriptive authority
  • Two (2) years teaching experience at the graduate level, preferred

Nursing Science Faculty

This is a tenure-track, 12-month, full-time faculty position. The candidate will assume teaching responsibilities within the graduate programs and pursue a program of funded research.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or higher nursing degree, required. Research doctorate in nursing or related field, required.
  • Current unencumbered RN or advanced practice nursing license with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas.
  • Teaching experience in a nursing program. Graduate level teaching experience, preferred.
  • Demonstration of scholarship related activities, e.g., published manuscripts, presentations at scientific conferences, and extramural grant funding.
  • Evidence of a program of research.

Endowed Professor of Geriatrics/Gerontology Faculty

This is a tenure-track, 12-month, full-time faculty position. The candidate will assume teaching responsibilities within the graduate programs and pursue a program of funded research.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in nursing with a demonstrated expertise in geriatrics/gerontology, required. If not doctorally prepared in nursing, then a Master’s degree in nursing is also required.
  • Current unencumbered RN or advanced practice nursing license with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas.
  • Teaching experience in a nursing program. Graduate level teaching experience, preferred.
  • Demonstration of scholarship related activities, e.g., published manuscripts, presentations at scientific conferences, and extramural grant funding in geriatrics/gerontology.
  • Evidence of a program of research, specifically in geriatrics/gerontology.

Nursing Science Faculty

This is a tenure-track, 12-month, full-time faculty position. The candidate will assume teaching responsibilities within the Graduate Program and pursue a program of funded research.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in nursing or a related field. If the doctoral degree is not in nursing, then a master’s degree in nursing is also required.
  • Must hold an unencumbered RN or advanced practice nursing license with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas.
  • Must also be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Teaching experience in a nursing program, with graduate-level teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, a robust publications record, presentations at scientific conferences, and evidence of extramural grant funding are required.
  • Evidence of an existing program of research is desired.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a scholarly focus in oncology, gerontology, pediatrics/adolescent health, psychiatric mental health, or genetics/genomics.
  • A cross-cutting focus on rural health and health disparities is strongly preferred
