Duties of standing committees
are as follows:
1. By-laws Committee
|
Review
and recommend by-law changes, as necessary; and continually inform the
Executive Committee of by-law procedures and processes to carry on the
business of the Council in a timely and efficient manner. |
2. Education
& Development
Committee |
Identify
educational needs of Administrative Staff Council members; develop educational
offerings; review and select continuing education offerings for
designated Council members; and prepare budgetary support requests. |
| 3. Orientation Committee |
Orient
new staff to the policies and procedures of the College of Nursing;
appoint a mentor to help orient new staff members; compile a notebook
to distribute to all new staff members; and update this notebook, as
needed. |
| 4. CON Website Committee* |
Established
by the Dean to develop and maintain an up-to-date website for the
College of Nursing http://nursing.uams.edu |
| 5. CON Social
Affairs Committee |
A mixed faculty/staff
committee for party planning and setup |
| 6. Publicity Committee |
The
Publicity Committee is responsible for writing and distributing the "Staff
Connection" newsletter quarterly, and various other public
relations projects, as needed. |
All members are eligible to
serve on two committees unless part of Executive Committee. All committees
shall be composed of at least three members. If composition of committees
falls below three members,
the Executive Committee will appoint additional
members.
*Members are appointed by the Dean to
serve on a permanent basis.
