Administrative Staff Council Retreat

October 5, 2007

(Photos will take a moment to load)

After a rousing game of "Two Truths & A Lie", we got down to
business reviewing our goals from last year.
After determining how we did last year, we brainstormed on new
goals for the coming year.
Everyone participated in setting new goals and determining what
direction we want the ASC to go in.
We have a lot of very creative and motivated staff here at the
CON, and we came up with goals that we feel sure we can attain.
Break time. It was a beautiful, sunny day and we enjoyed
being outside.
You only have to whisper "popcorn" and the hungry ducks come
running. Here Amy feeds several greedy visitors.

During our session on helpful hints, we learned a lot about
how to do our jobs more efficiently.
Mildred was the winner of our drawing. Here she is receiving a gift
certificate from ASC Chairperson, Linda Shock.
Lunch time. Baked potatoes, chili, and salad bar were on the
menu. We enjoyed visiting while we ate.
The retreat fell on Shirley's birthday this year, so we
surprised her with a nice cake.
Everyone having a fall birthday were asked to gather around
the cake. To our amazement, all but five staff members were
born in September, October or November!
One of the ladies at Ferncliff baked this delicious carrot cake
for us. The butter cream icing was out of this world!
Here is the birthday girl cutting her cake. Break time. Marian and Amy enjoy relaxing in the den area
of the facility.

Lindsey and Imogene visit while waiting for our guest
speaker to arrive.

Myra, Vicki and Tameka relaxing during a break.

Jennifer Holder, from the UAMS Fitness Center, passes out
exercise equipment to the staff.

Imogene, Shirley, Mildred and Marian share a laugh.

Myra, Vicki, Tameka and Latrina get ready to work out
with bar bells.

Make it burn ladies!

And stretch and pull and stretch and pull....

Getting into the spirit of the moment.

Lindsey and Imogene prepare to stretch as Shirley looks on.

Stretch away girls!

Mildred was the only one brave enough to try to balance
on the exercise ball.

It's pretty wobbly until you get the hang of it!

Looks like our instructor is proud of us.

Jennifer with a thank you gift and certificate from the staff.

Linda takes a break on the porch with a friend.

This little cat was very friendly and stayed on the porch the entire day.

Time for our beach ball game.

Looks like Marian has some explaining to do!

White elephant game time. Hannah opens a box of beautiful
vintage note cards. Is it a keeper?
Hummm.... what could be in here?

Mildred opens her gift as Shirley and Marian watch.

Lindsey poses with skeleton man!
