Angela Green, PhD, APN
Clinical Assistant Professor, UAMS College of Nursing
Director of Nursing Research, Arkansas Children's Hospital
My research
focuses on quality of life of children with
complex heart disease. In 2007, I
completed a qualitative study that focused
on the quality of life of school-aged heart
transplant recipients. I recently applied
for funding to continue this work and study the
quality of life of adolescents who have
undergone heart transplantation. I am also
interested in other psychosocial
outcomes in this high-risk population as well as
psychosocial outcomes and quality of life of the
families of children with complex heart disease.
In addition to the work in my primary area of
interest, I am working with other researchers on
projects focusing on pain assessment in
cognitively impaired children, receiving bad
news via high-risk obstetrical telemedicine
consult, and family centered care in acute care
pediatrics.
I have received funding from the National Institute of Nursing
Research, Society of Pediatric Nurses, and the Gamma Xi and Eta
chapters of Sigma Theta Tau International. |
