PhD in Nursing Admissions Information
We encourage applicants to have all materials submitted for review by March 1st. Acceptance into the program occurs as completed applications are submitted, reviewed and interviews held.
At the beginning of each year, all qualified applicants who have completed the application process and have interviewed, will be considered on a first come, first served basis to fill the slots open annually for new doctoral students. Admission to the Nursing PhD Program is also a prerequisite for many loans and scholarships.
Note: The applicant with a BSN will need to meet all the admission requirements for the PhD program and must have 1000 hours of documented clinical nursing practice before enrolling in any clinical course. In addition, an applicant will need approval from the master’s specialty coordinator of the applicant’s chosen clinical, administrative, or nursing education specialty.
