Undergraduate Faculty

Academic Coach-fulltime (1 position)

The Academic Coach is a 12-month, fulltime, non-tenured faculty position in the College of Nursing. The Academic Coach reports directly to the Associate Dean for Academic Programs and has a direct line to the Associate Dean for Baccalaureate Education. The Academic Coach’s primary responsibilities are to provide individual and group remediation to students at risk, teach the Foundations of Nursing I Theory Content, and provide structured ATI remediation for those students who don’t meet benchmark scores on their standardized testing.

Qualifications:

      • Master’s degree or higher in nursing
      • At least two years’ teaching experience in a nursing program
      • At least two years’ experience working with students at-risk and providing remediation services
      • At least 5 years clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing
      • Current unencumbered Arkansas nursing license
      • Passionate about working with students who need special help with academics

BSN Faculty—fulltime (1 position)

This non-tenure track, 9-month, fulltime faculty position will assume teaching responsibilities within the baccalaureate nursing program teaching Nursing Care of the Older Adult, Community Health, and Research.

Qualifications:

      • MNSc or higher nursing degree required
      • Current unencumbered Arkansas nursing license
      • Two years’ classroom and teaching experience at the undergraduate level preferred

At least 3 years’ clinical experience in geriatrics and/or community health nursing

Graduate Faculty

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner—fulltime (1 position)

This 12-month contract, fulltime faculty position will assume teaching responsibilities within the Master of Nursing Science Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.

Qualifications:

      • Master’s degree in nursing and/or doctorally-prepared
      • Unencumbered Arkansas RN and APRN licensure and current certification
        (ANCC certified or other appropriate certification for Adult-Gerontology Acute Care)
      • Two years working experience as an APRN, preferred
      • Two years teaching experience preferred

This 12-month, fulltime faculty position will assume teaching responsibilities within the Master of Nursing Science Nursing Administration specialty program.

Qualifications:

      • Minimum of master’s degree in nursing; doctoral degree preferred
      • Unencumbered Arkansas RN nursing licensure
      • Two years’ experience as a nursing administrator, manager, and/or educator
      • Experience teaching at the graduate level preferred

      • Two years’ teaching experience at the graduate level (DNP) preferred
      • Research design and analytics expertise preferred

      • Two years’ teaching experience at the graduate level (DNP) preferred

Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner—fulltime (1 position)

This non-tenure track, 12-month contract faculty position will assume teaching responsibilities within the Master of Nursing Science Psych Mental Health specialty.

Qualifications:

      • Master’s degree in nursing; Psych Mental Health NP certification; Arkansas APRN licensure
      • Experience teaching at the graduate level preferred
      •  Evidence of an established Psych Mental Health NP practice

Director of PhD Program

This tenure-track, 12-month contract, full-time faculty position will be administratively responsible for advancing the College’s doctoral program. The qualified applicant will direct the PhD program and teach in the program.

Qualifications:

      • Master’s and doctoral degrees in nursing
      • Meets criteria for tenured Associate Professor or Professor rank
      • Teaching experience in doctoral nursing education program, including chairing dissertations
      • Evidence of leadership in academic programs desirable
      • Evidence of a program of scholarship and research
      • Commitment to the College’s research mission and goals
      • Unencumbered Arkansas RN licensure

This 12-month contract, fulltime faculty position will assume teaching responsibilities within the Master of Nursing Science program, teaching in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program.

      • Master’s degree in nursing
      • Current unencumbered Arkansas RN and APRN licensure and current certification
      • Experience teaching at the graduate level, preferred
      • At least 3 years experience working as an APRN in a pediatric clinical setting, preferred
