Welcome to the UAMS College of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing website.  We are pleased that you have chosen to consider the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Nursing as you prepare for a nursing career. The College is one of Arkansas’ best—both for the quality of the program and the personal interest of our dedicated faculty.

The College of Nursing offers a baccalaureate degree in professional nursing (BSN) and is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). We are committed to providing educational opportunities for all qualified students regardless of their economic or social status and we do not discriminate on the basis of disabilities, race, color, sex, creed, or national origin.

Extracurricular activities of the College support classroom experiences and build professional relationships, teamwork, and pride through the Student Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International (the international honor society of nurses), and other professional nursing organizations.

The baccalaureate program prepares highly competent nurses for professional careers.  Graduates provide state of the art nursing care in ambulatory, acute care, and long-term settings to individuals, families, and communities.
