1950s

Jane Allen Skillen, BSN
Mrs. Skillen is part of the first group of RN’s to practice parish nursing in the Kingsport, TN area. She feels this to be a way to combine her religious faith and her nursing skills. Although she works and volunteers, Mrs. Skillen still finds time to knit, quilt and enjoy her five grandchildren.
